On Tuesday, Bromley High School took part in the ESU Mace debating competition at Eltham College. The team delivered an outstanding performance, advancing to the second round after defeating Sydenham High School and Colfe’s School.

Year 13 pupil Sanjana, Year 12 pupil Anya, and Year 11 pupil Annabelle spoke passionately on the motion: ‘This House Would ban dating and relationship-based reality TV’, addressing key issues around consent and gender stereotypes. The judges praised them as a ‘stand-out’ team, noting that they were not only excellent debaters but also articulate public speakers. The team has done themselves proud and is looking forward to the next round of the competition. Well done girls!
