Congratulations to Year 11 pupil Maya who entered West End Calling, a prestigious nationwide competition judged by professional West End actors to discover the UK’s best young Musical Theatre talent.
Impressively, Maya progressed through multiple heats and a semi-final – where she won the Audience Favourite award every time – before reaching the Grand Final, held at the Arts Theatre in the heart of the West End.
There, she was crowned winner of the Teen Category Rising Star Award, sponsored by Stagebox, which recognises exceptional emerging talent. The award includes a minimum of one year’s professional Musical Theatre training.
