Earlier this month, Year 12 students enjoyed a memorable trip to London’s Victoria Palace Theatre to see the internationally acclaimed musical Hamilton.
Charting the life of Alexander Hamilton – one of America’s founding fathers – the musical was a whirlwind of hip-hop music blended with history, powerfully illuminating the birth of a nation and the revolutionary spirit that shaped it.
From the moment the curtain rose, students were instantly swept into the world of 18th-century America. Rich period costumes, dynamic choreography, and powerful vocal performances immersed them fully in the drama of a revolution in motion.
“Hamilton’s innovative use of modern music to tell a historical story was incredible. It brought the politics of the past to life in a way that felt immediate and alive, making the struggles and debates of that era feel surprisingly relevant to how I view today’s political climate.”Amelie, Year 12 student
