The first workshop from our series of Primary Mathematics Masterclasses was delivered yesterday with an exciting session on digital computers, delivered by Alison Eves from the Royal Institution.

The Royal Institution Masterclass programme opens young people’s eyes to the diversity of mathematics. Through a series of hands-on extra-curricular workshops, students all over the UK meet to explore these subjects in new and exciting ways.

The first masterclass, from a series of five, was delivered to our Year 5 pupils who were also joined by pupils from Southborough Primary School, St James’ Primary School and Raglan Primary School.

Pupils were helped by the school’s 15 Lower Sixth Maths Ambassadors, who will be presenting the next Masterclass themselves in the new year.
