Year 12 pupil and singer-songwriter Elizabeth, also known as Lizzie Vee on stage, is working with professional guitarist Howard Johnstone to produce and master some of her original songs.
Howard is an experienced pro guitarist who has been teaching for over 25 years. He has written songbooks for Oasis, Blur, Bon Jovi and Wet Wet Wet and is the author of the Ultimate Guitar series. He is the guitarist for 80s legend Owen Paul (My Favourite Waste of Time) playing at numerous festivals alongside artists such as Jason Donovan, Toyah and S Club.
Elizabeth has the pleasure of working with both Howard and his wife, who is a professional singer and vocal coach, and they are both really excited about Elizabeth’s singing and songwriting ability.
One song in particular, Sweeter Than Poison, is getting a lot of interest in their circle, with Toyah Willcox being a big fan! Elizabeth spent time in their studio recording her track, with Howard Johnstone producing the guitar soundtrack and his drummer adding a live drum track too. The piece is currently going through the mastering processes so that it can be submitted to radio stations, Spotify and Apple Music.Elizabeth is also working with Howard and his wife to develop four additional original songs which will showcase a broader range of her work.Listen to one of her tracks Sweeter Than Poison below.
