Pupils and staff enjoyed a special day of celebrations in the lead up to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, as they prepare for the half-term break.

All pupils had fun dressing up for the special occasion, and were treated to a Jubilee cupcake by the school.

The Junior School took part in a raft of fun activities in honour of the Queen’s 70-year reign including crown designing, cake decorating, Queen fact writing and decorating bunting and place mats.  Pupils also created their own celebration postcards to send to the Queen.  Years 5 and 6 took part in a Jubilee House swimming gala and Year 3 took part in environmental and community work by litter gripping in Jubilee Country Park which borders the school.

In the afternoon, Junior School pupils attended a Jubilee assembly to learn more about the history of the Queen and thoroughly enjoyed a specially themed street party, with afternoon tea and dancing.
