Year 2 & 3 pupils code their way to the moon

To celebrate World Space Week, Year 2 and 3 pupils had the opportunity to take part in the Moon Landing Show.

‘Get With The Program’ who ran the GDST Junior Techathon during Guided Home Learning, ran a sequel session for the year groups that took part during lockdown.

Both year groups helped characters Professor Trice and Al the Robot design, write, test and debug algorithms on the moon landing coding adventure. Their mission was to programme Al the Robot to get safely onto a Saturn V rocket, ready to launch her to the moon.

The show was followed by a coding and programming workshop with Beebots Robots.
