Pastoral Care is of paramount importance at Bromley High. For the girls to succeed they need to feel happy and valued as individuals. At all stages our girls are encouraged to respect themselves and others and to display a positive and caring attitude.
We pride ourselves on knowing each girl well and there are several ways in which the girls can feel comfortable making their voice heard. Communication between home and school is vital and we encourage parents to be actively involved.
We aim to foster a sense of community and most days begin with an assembly which is led by a member of staff, a visitor or the girls themselves. These assemblies explore British and moral values or topical news and are also an opportunity to celebrate individual and group achievements, including the weekly presentation of the House Cup.
Our PSHE programme, delivered in all year groups, incorporates elements of critical thinking, philosophy and the Positive Project to develop pupils' qualities and attributes as individuals, family and community members and to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to live healthy, safe, responsible and balanced lives now and in the future.
