A Level Results 2012

In 2012 22% of all grades were at A* and 20 girls scored only A and A* grades.  Special congratulations to Ellen Cheetham who, with her 4 A* grades will be taking up her place to read Geography at Oxford in the Autumn and to our outstanding musical duet of Sarah Phillips and Amy Yule, who between them achieved 6 A* and 2 A grades in subjects including Maths, Chemistry, Further Maths and of course Music. Very well done also to Charlotte Adolpho, Lucy Botham, Emma Cochrane, Ashana Gupta, Mariha Hamid, Clare Skinner, Johanna Raghu and Leanna Ruprai, all of whom have secured places to study Medicine, Veterinary or Dentistry courses at University. The A*/A/B percentage was 86% across all subjects.  Four girls undertook the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), gaining 2 A* and 2 A grade.
