Of 94 students entered, the percentage at A* and A grades was just under 80%. All students achieved 5 or more A* - C grades.

Lorna Duggleby, Head said

“We are so pleased with our best ever GCSE results. In particular, we congratulate Sophie who achieved 12 A* grades; Fiona, Katarina and Stephanie (11 A*s); Cathy, Rebecca , India and Eleanor (10 A*s). There were 36 girls (37% of the year) who achieved all A* and A grades out of 10 or 11 GCSE's. We are however equally pleased with those girls who worked so hard to achieve B grades. These pleasing results are attributed to the excellent teaching and learning at the School.”

Sophie was amongst the top five nationally in English Literature and Stephanie was amongst the top five nationally in Business and Communications “

Sophie said “I am ecstatic and still can't believe my results. I want to study English at A level and hopefully at University. I am so very grateful to my English teacher Mrs Davies. she has been really brilliant.”

Stephanie said “I am really pleased with my results; I didn't expect it and I am really happy. I am very grateful to all the teachers.”

Subjects worthy of special note are Art, Biology, Drama and P.E. where all girls gained A* or A grades.
