Music is a strength of the school and a large majority of pupils take part in an orchestra, training band, strings group, wind band or a choir. We have a well-equipped music wing in the Junior School and there are Music specialists who teach the girls from Reception to Year 6 . Every girl learns to read music and to play the recorder.  There are four computers in the music room and music technology is used where appropriate. We enjoy Christmas concerts, informal concerts and a Summer production. Year 2 have their own choir and each Infant Year Group puts on a Christmas Entertainment for their parents, thus ensuring every child plays an active part. Our Junior choir has very successfully entered for the Bromley Music Festival for several years.

Musicians have the opportunity to join the annual Concert Tours. This year sixty girls from Year s 6 and 7 will visit Normandy.

Individual Music lessons take place from Year 3 upwards . At present, about 120 lessons are given to our Junior pupils on a wide range of musical instruments, many of these being taught in our four practice rooms.
