We cover the Numeracy Strategy and there is an emphasis on the challenge of problem solving in Mathematics right from Reception onwards. We place great importance on understanding rather than learning by rote. In Years 5 and 6 the most able pupils are set to form an extension Mathematics Group to provide work of an even more challenging nature.
