We have a well-equipped specialist room for art and technology. Our Reception pupils use a wide variety of materials in their "Making" sessions. Amongst other items, Year 1 design a playground or play equipment following their visit to Kelsey Park. Year 2 design a range of moving vehicles of their choice based on a common use of wheels and axels. Saws and drills are introduced in Year 3 and by the time the children move on the Senior School they will have constructed wheeled and motorised vehicles and machines or toys using cams, levers and pulleys. They have also experimented with tye dyeing, designed their own victorian samplers and in Food Technology they have chosen different pizza toppings and adapted basic pasta sauces.
