A great emphasis is put on an enthusiastic involvement in music, art, sport , drama and community activities and girls are keen supporters of many charities. The school has a high local reputation for its annual dance production and hosts several sports championships and rallies. Major school concerts are organised at venues such as the St Martin-in-the-Fields, Westminster Abbey and Southwark Cathedral.

Girls participate in the Young Enterprise scheme, work experience, and the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme. There are regular exchanges to France, Germany and Spain and a programme of foreign work experience is being developed. Girls from all year groups participate in the annual ski trip and there are Geography field trips to the Isle of Wight, the Isle of Arran and South Wales, whilst the Biology Department visits Wales. World Challenge expeditions have visited Uganda, Malaysia and Ecuador and Iceland, Guyana and Borneo.
